Sardinia - Beyond ancient shepherding traditions lays a blossoming stalled future.

This is my response to the Weekly Photo Challenge – Beyond.
Can you see beyond the present to predict a positive future?

Beautiful!
Glad you liked it, Ben. Thank you.
Those sheep really have a great view, Jennifer.
They do, too bad about the construction in front. In another few years there will be no view!
That will be such a pity.
Progress is often not a good thing for everyone.

Very cutie flocks of sheep! The blue background reflection of the sky is nice.
I love sheep and have so many photos of them grazing. Thanks for the comment and stopping by!
Lovely sheep shame about the progress!
I agree.
I hope they have the foresight not to build on the summit. If only all developers would leave the tops of hills as parklands.
That would be ideal, but who knows until it’s finished.

On our first trip to Italy we were impressed by the behaviour of Italian sheep. In Australia sheep usually spread out roughly evenly to fill any given field. The Italian sheep, I assume because they were herded inside each night for milking, clustered together and moved across the field in a grazing phalanx.
They obediently followed the shepherd to the field each morning. Aussie sheep need to be driven ahead.
Nice shot and good idea for the challenge, Jennifer!
Great comparison, Richard. I’d never thought of it that way – thank you.
Lovely, if a bit poignant post
I was about to say “Lucky sheep” when I read your reply to AD.
i love italy. your picture brought back memories.
do you know what they are building there Jennifer ?
A big, ugly, little apartment complex.

If the future is similar to certain disasters that have ravaged
some parts of Sardinia, I prefer, although progressive and lover of the new, to keep my sheep and the enchanted island that gave us our grandparents.
I hope in a best future with respect of old wellness
Take care of yourself and see you later in a well preserved Sardinia
I would prefer to see Sardinia preserved; as she so rightly deserves.
Great shot, Jennifer. You’re not missing anything back home; it’s freezing!
Great shot! Thanks for sharing
